These apprenticeships have been developed by industry for industry. They are work based education programmes which support the development of the supply chain knowledge base amongst practitioners in organisations. They combine learning in the workplace with blended and online learning through the University of Limerick.

The Level 7 Apprenticeship for Supply Chain Associate – Diploma in Supply Chain Management based on the globally recognised body of knowledge in Production and Inventory Management offered by ASCM / APICS, this two year programme will provide learners and hosting organisations with the ability to understand and evaluate production and inventory activities within a company’s global operations. Level 7 Apprenticeship for a Supply Chain Associate Dip
The Level 8 Apprenticeship for Supply Chain Specialist – Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management will provide learners and hosting organisations with the advanced understanding and best practices frameworks and techniques needed to manage effective supply chain operations. The programme will educate participants in the principles and practical application of the SCOR framework concepts, enabling participants and supporting organisations to gain a competitive advantage and develop the ability to drive improvement in supply chain operations with measurable results. Level 8 Apprenticeship for a Supply Chain Specialist BSc
The Level 9 Apprenticeship for Supply Chain Manager – Master of Science in Supply Chain Operations has been developed for supply chain managers. These individuals perform a crucial and senior role within their organisations. They manage the delivery of products and services across the entire supply chain, from raw materials to end users. They are also influencers of upstream and downstream factors to maximise value with the organisation’s supply chain. Level 9 Apprenticeship for a Supply Chain Manager MSc
Level 10 Principal Engineer – Doctorate of Engineering (DEng)
Lero (Ireland Software Research Centre) and CONFIRM Smart Manufacturing have partnered with the University of Limerick (UL) to deliver Ireland’s first level 10 qualification funded through the national apprenticeships programme: Principal Engineer (DEng). The aim of the this Doctoral programme is to produce a qualification which, whilst being equivalent in status and challenge to a PhD, is more appropriate for those pursuing professional rather than academic careers. The DEng acknowledges that significant research takes place within the practitioner’s workplace and candidates are required to make a contribution to both theory and practice in their field as well as to the body of professional knowledge.
